Hydra-Electric has a very broad based Machine Shop: we operate machinery from basic cutting tools all the way up to state of the art CNC (computer numerical control) milling centers. We machine 95% of our product components in-house, and only outsource small portions of overflow work to local shops when high volume calls for such action.

Our machine shop workers are among the best in the aerospace business, with many having 20+ years experience in areas of drilling, lathing, and machining metal parts. The Burbank and Los Angeles areas have a rich history of aerospace and this provides a good pool of machine shop talent.

We have complete drilling, turning, boring and milling operations, as well as basic cutting, grinding and de-burring. Our multi-axis, multi-spindle double turret CNC machines from Mori Seiki are particularly effective machines.

Overall, we can accomplish any type of light to medium machine shop operations for our products, involving aluminum, stainless steel and more exotic metals.
