Overview
The Business Unit Manager leads and coordinates all major business activities related to custom
engineered products through integrated multifunctional team; drives/leads new business and product
development; prepares Business plan for business unit, including strategy for new and existing products, pricing structure, sales forecast, advertising, and promotion; meets annual growth plans and operating profit margin targets for business unit; supports field sales through customer interface at key accounts; ensures that terms and conditions of new proposals and contracts conform to company policy and Business Unit strategic business plan.
Annual Salary: $120K
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads multifunctional team in dynamic business environment. Builds consensus and buys-in for
business priorities in pursuit of New Business - Prepares New Business Proposals and be the direct program interface with customers during the development process
- Reviews requests for proposals and existing contracts to ensure that terms and conditions conform to company policy and the business unit strategic business plan
- Supports field sales through customer interface at key accounts
- Prepares Annual and Five-Year Business Plan for business unit, including strategy for new and
existing products, pricing structure, sales forecast, advertising, and promotion - Meets annual growth plans and operating profit margin targets for business unit
- Fosters team work, generates enthusiasm, and promotes can-do attitude
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Education and Experience
- BS degree in Aerospace Manufacturing (Masters preferred)
- 10+ years’ experience in an Industrial or Aerospace environment
- 5 years of proven leadership of multifunctional teams, and sales exposure
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to negotiate
- Strong project management and presentation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness and ability to integrate and operate effectively within teams
