Positions parts in specified relationship to each other, using hands, tweezers, or tongs. Bolts, screws, clips, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together by hand or using hand tools or portable power tools. Frequently works at a bench as a member of the assembly group assembling one or two specific parts and passing units to another worker.
Salary Range: $17-19/hr

In addition to the duties & skills listed above, the following skills are required for each level, provided that the individual is certified and applies them in their current assignment.
Assembler
- Ability to read and understand Assembly Traveler instructions
- Must understand general blue print/sectional drawings
- Ability to use measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, rulers and pressure gauges
- Knowledge of basic shop math
- Basic understanding of Sub-Assembly, Rough Set, Synchronization and Final Test processes
- Familiar with ATP/FTP documentation
- Must be able to set up and utilize ATP/FTP test bench stations
- Must be proficient in using hand tools
- Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials
- May assist leads and supervisors in assigning work and training
- Performs other duties as required and assigned
Assembler Intermediate (in addition to Assembler)
- Ability to perform Sub-Assembly, Rough Set, Synchronization and Final Test process
- Must be able to perform manual operations such as, Sync, Fitting, Alignment, Calibration and make adjustments to parts to meet specifications and Traveler requirements
- Ability to read and understand all assembly related work instructions
- May assist leads and supervisors in assigning work and training
Assembler Senior (in addition to Assembler & Assembler Intermediate)
- Ability to train employees in Sub-Assembly, Rough Set, Synchronization and Final Test process
- Assists employees in troubleshooting complex switches
- Recommends Traveler changes and validates instruction and standard times.
- Suggests product tooling and other improvements
- May assist leads and supervisors in assigning work and training
Education and Experience
- High School diploma required
- Minimum 1-year progressive experience in Electro-Mechanical assembly
- A team player
- Efficient, accurate and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiative
