Experienced supply chain executive Len Torres has been recently appointed the new Hydra-Electric chief operations officer (COO).
“Len brings the kind of results oriented leadership that is driving the growth of our company,” said David Schmidt, CEO. “His background managing large teams across numerous functions offers an excellent match for our needs in a chief operations officer, especially as we are experiencing a significant increase in demand for the company’s sensors. We welcome Len to Hydra-Electric.”
Len brings 25 years experience in aerospace, electronics, and commercial product lines. At Meggitt Control Systems he held several executive leadership positions, most recently as U.S. Group Materials Director, where he was responsible for a $100M procurement budget and led numerous supply chain optimization initiatives resulting in significant improvements in customer OTD, quality metrics, and other measures. He also served in leadership roles at TA MFG Co. (division of Esterline Technologies), Cast Alloys Inc., and Teradyne Inc.
“I’m excited and honored to join the management team at Hydra-Electric,” said Torres. “The company was built on solid fundamentals and innovative designs. They are focused on state-of-the-art product development, superior customer service, and creating an efficient operation. It is a great opportunity to lead the operations team and I look forward to meeting the challenges ahead as we work together to further grow an already successful company.”
Len holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and an MBA in Finance and Operations Management from the University of Southern California (USC).
The team at Hydra-Electric looks forward to working with Len, as we continue delivering superior technology in sensors and switches.
